River Rider Experience

River Riders offers fun family activities on Friday & Saturday

Guided White Water Rafting

This is a 2 1/2-3 hour guided experience, taking place on the Shenandoah River. Each boat holds 4-6 guests plus a guide. Participants should weigh at least 50 pounds.

Adventure Park

The Adventure Park is made up of nine different courses, varying in difficulty level. One of those courses is specifically for 4-6 year olds. 7-9 year olds can enjoy 5 of the courses (yellow, green). 10-12 year olds can enjoy 7 of the courses (yellow, green, blue). 13+ year olds can also enjoy our black course (8 courses in total). Most of our guests choose a two hour ticket, and can climb 2-3 courses in that amount of time. This is a mentally and physically challenging activity, and participants will navigate the courses on their own, after going through a safety briefing. Participants must weigh between 40-265 pounds and closed toe shoes are required.

Flat Water Tubing

This is an unguided activity, meaning there are no staff members on the river to assist guests. This trip typically runs about 45 minutes to an hour and a half and is a calm, relaxing float down the Shenandoah River. We do offer refloats for our earlier departures (when the river is at normal levels and we are running our normal route), where you can get right back on the bus, go back up to the put in, and float down again. 3:30pm is the last time you can refloat. Participants should weigh at least 30 pounds.

If any of the members of your groups find additional trips online they'd rather book and/or timing that works better, they can go ahead and book directly on our website. There is a spot during the reservation process that asks if the guests have any additional comments; the members of your group can make a note saying "with CASA" which will allow us to know that those are also part of the donation. Otherwise, anyone booking specifically from the links above, will already be tagged with CASA!
